Bubble.io customization done for a project management web application
A client based in Paris has developed a project management web application using Bubble.io technology that has features including project details management, work location tracking, employee role assignment, salary...

About the project
This Bubble.io customization was done for a client based in Paris. The client had built a project management web application with Bubble.io. It already had features such as project details management, work location tracking, employee role assignment, salary management, performance evaluation, and appraisal tracking. However, the client struggled to add resource management. They needed planning and budgeting tools to allocate resources on specific projects.
To overcome this hurdle, the client approached Zehntech. Our team added a dedicated tab to their existing web application. As a result, the client can plan and budget resources and use them well across their various projects. See our web development services for similar work.
The challenge
The client needed a resource tab in their Bubble.io project management app. The tab had to help them plan, allocate and manage resources for specific projects.
- Creating a Resource Planning tab where users can see and plan the project according to the availability of the resources. A dropdown lists all available resources, so the project manager can choose them accordingly.
- Creating a date range for each project based on the project’s start and end dates, as well as defining available workdays per week. Also, they wanted a holiday tab where holidays can be added based on the demographics.
- Furthermore, the client wanted a graphical summary of resources for each interval.
What we built
First, we analysed the client’s requirements. Then Zehntech’s Bubble.io experts added a resource management feature to the existing project management tools. The new feature includes the following functionalities
Resource Tab
This tab provides a list of all available resources, along with their name, available working days, and budget. The tool calculates the available working days for each resource from the resource’s calendar and any holidays or planned leaves. Additionally, the admin can select the holidays list according to the resource’s geographic location.
Date Range
With this feature, the admin can select the date range manually according to the project start and end date. They can also view the date range by weekdays or by calendar dates. The first day of every week is Monday.
In addition, project managers can allocate workdays per week to each resource, based on the resource’s availability and the project’s requirements.
The dashboard provides a summary of all projects, including the date range, number of resources allocated, budget, cost, and project status. It also shows the actual utilization of resources. Finally, it alerts admins or project managers if there are any delays or challenges.
A look at the work
The result for the client
According to the client’s feedback, the new resource management feature has improved their project management processes. It is now easier to track resource availability, allocate resources to projects, and monitor project progress. The dashboard also helps the team spot potential problems early, so they can fix them before they cause delays or cost overruns.
