Construct 3 Games modification and integration with Bubble.io Website
A Houston-based healthcare client wanted to build a website to help users improve their mental health.

About the project
A Houston-based healthcare client wanted a website to help users improve their mental health. The client had already built games in Construct 3. These games analyzed cognitive skills such as reasoning, memory, attention, coordination, perception, and problem-solving. The client now needed some modifications and a Construct 3 games integration into the website.
Zehntech’s team of experts built the Bubble.io website and completed the integration through our web development services. As a result, users can now take cognitive tests, play games, and receive personalized recommendations for improving their mental health.
The challenge
The client had a visionary concept. They wanted a website where users evaluate their mental health, and they wanted engaging gamified assessments built with Construct 3. Additionally, they wanted a guided tour to improve the user experience.
There was also a significant technical challenge. The client wanted to store game scores in the Bubble.io website database. However, Bubble.io has no default feature to fetch data directly from Construct 3 games.
What we built
We developed a customized Bubble.io website that met the customer’s requirements. It also communicated the purpose of the client’s healthcare services clearly.
- The website has a fully responsive and user-friendly interface that is easy to navigate.
- We modified the games built with Construct 3. For example, we added time tracking features and made some UI changes to improve the user experience.
- To integrate the games into the Bubble.io website, we hosted them on AWS using S3 buckets and CloudFront. Then we embedded the links to the cloud-hosted games in an iframe, which displays the games on the website’s front end.
- Bubble.io’s default features cannot fetch game scores or events from the cloud into the website’s database. Therefore, we used browser event handler methods to manage the communication between Bubble and the cloud-hosted games. We created different events for game scores, duration, and other game data. Whenever one of these events occurs, the website receives the event information automatically and can display it.
- This method stores scores and other data in the website’s database. Finally, it lets the client run a pre-built algorithm to analyze the user’s focus.
A look at the work
The result for the client
Our team delivered a website that meets the client’s requirements. We solved the technical limits of the technology, and users responded positively to the website. The website runs on Bubble.io and includes the Construct 3 games integration. These games help users improve their cognitive skills and sleeping patterns. As a result, the client can now offer a service that improves the mental health and focus of users.
