WordPress to Odoo 14 Website Migration, Redesigning, Integration with Odoo ERP
About the project
A Swiss-based IT company wanted to consolidate its website and ERP operations on a single platform. To do this, it chose an Odoo 14 website migration and redesign of its WordPress website. Additionally, the company wanted to build and manage its website server independently. The Zehntech team provided comprehensive help to achieve these goals. We migrated the website, customized the Odoo 14 modules, and developed custom modules.
As a result, the migration and redesign gave the company a more streamlined, efficient, and user-friendly website. The site is integrated with the client’s Odoo 14 ERP system, which consolidates its operations on a unified platform. See our Odoo migration service.
The challenge
The client faced multiple challenges with their existing setup:
Separate Platforms:
The business website and ERP operations were on different platforms, leading to inefficient workflows.
Brand Inconsistency:
The old website design did not align with the client’s brand guidelines.
Fragmented User Experience:
The disjointed system setup resulted in a fragmented user experience.
Low Conversion Rate:
Inadequacies in the user experience contributed to a low conversion rate.
Hindered Business Processes:
The separate platforms delayed the streamlining of business processes.
What we built
To resolve these challenges, the Zehntech team recommended integrating the website with Odoo ERP, which would close the major platform communication gap. The team implemented the following solutions:
Website Migration and Redesign: We successfully transitioned their website from WordPress to Odoo 14, adding modern flairs that better showcased the company branding guidelines and enhanced aesthetic appeal.
Custom Module Development: To accommodate the client’s business needs, we modified the previous Odoo 14 modules. This required modifying workflows, data structures, and capabilities to align business processes and enhance overall system performance.
User Experience Enhancement: Our team focused on optimizing the user experience by ensuring intuitive navigation, clear information architecture, and user-friendly interfaces. Through extensive user testing and incorporating feedback, we improvised the website and ERP system usability.
User Experience Enhancement: By guaranteeing user-friendly interfaces, clear data architecture and intuitive navigation, our team maximized the user experience. Through comprehensive user testing and incorporating feedback, we improved the accessibility of the ERP system and the website.
Seamless Integration with Odoo ERP: We enabled real-time data synchronization, better data accuracy, and accelerated business operations by easing the smooth association of the revamped website with the Odoo ERP solution.
Independent Server Setup: The ability to export and import every element simultaneously during server migration is unavailable in the Odoo default system. The Zehntech team developed a custom module that converts default image URLs into binary format. They are easily transferable from one server to another without losing data or missing functionality.
