Odoo 16 implementation for a furniture manufacturer
The business ran on Excel. Stock levels were guessed, orders had errors and manual accounts let money slip through.

Implemented Odoo16 for a Furniture Manufacturer to Streamline Business Operations
About the project
A Germany-based furniture manufacturer designs a wide range of soundproof office booths for various European nations. This Odoo furniture manufacturer faced significant operational challenges. Their reliance on Excel led to errors, inaccuracies, and inefficiencies. The client wanted to implement the Odoo inventory management system. They aimed to improve efficiency by automating inventory management, purchasing, sales, and billing.
The team at Zehntech assisted with the Odoo ERP implementation and customization. First, the team studied the client’s requirements thoroughly. Then it integrated Odoo modules to meet them. We completed the implementation on time and within budget. As a result, the company now enjoys the benefits of the Odoo system. Read more about our Odoo implementation services.
The challenge
Our client had difficulty maintaining their product portfolio. Manual management of business operations in Excel caused errors and inefficiencies. To address these challenges, we needed a solution that would optimize the entire process. It also had to reduce human errors and delays in product delivery.
Specific issues included:
- Inaccurate demand forecasting for furniture, leading to overstocking or understocking.
- Errors in order processing.
- Inefficient warehouse management.
- Financial leakages owing to manual accounts management.
What we built
Zehntech configured the system to match our client’s business workflow. This keeps it easy to operate and meets their specific needs. We also migrated existing inventory, purchases, sales history, and customer information from Excel to Odoo. This kept the data transfer accurate and efficient.
We implemented an Odoo inventory system that includes:
Inventory Module: This module tracks inventory in real time, so our client knows their stock levels and locations. It also sends alerts for low or high inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
Sales Module: This module helps create and manage sales orders and quotations. It integrates with other modules to update inventory, manage customer information, and generate invoices.
Purchase Module: This module helps our client create and manage purchase orders, vendor data, and procurement procedures. It integrates with inventory, so product categories and quantities update when goods arrive.
Invoicing Module: This module creates and manages invoices, credit notes, and payment tracking. Through integration with other modules, it keeps billing accurate based on sales and purchases.
Reporting Module: This module provides visual data reports from different modules. These include bar charts, graphs, line charts, and pie charts. As a result, our client gains insights into their business operations.
Finally, we trained our client’s staff on the features of the new system. This helped them adapt quickly and use the system to its full potential.
