About the project
Pavetech is an e-commerce store that offers hardware tools and equipment, mainly for the construction industry. This Pavetech Magento migration moved its website, which was first built on Magento 1.6. Apart from innovative hardware tools, Pavetech also offers a wide range of adhesives and shimz on the site.
The challenge
Before the upgrade, the client showcased their products on a Magento 1.6 website. However, it lacked some functionality the client wanted. They wanted a Pavetech Magento migration from Magento 1.6 to Magento 2.3, because it supports the functionality needed to expand their business. The client also asked us to redesign the website and add custom features, which was a challenge for us.
What we built
First, Team Zehntech studied every requirement of Pavetech and migrated their e-commerce website from Magento 1.6 to Magento 2.3. In addition, working with Pavetech gave us a great opportunity to build the website from scratch with the default Luma theme by Magento. Then we customized the Luma theme to meet the requirements Pavetech gave us. For similar projects, see our web development services.
Besides the migration, the client wanted a few features and functionalities. So we installed the following functions, plug-ins, and extensions to give the client’s website the capabilities it needed:
● An event management extension to make event registration quick and easy for users.
● A zoom function that enlarges the product image when user hovers over it.
● A store locator to help users locate the closest store in their neighborhood.
● A Welt pixel slider for making website navigation convenient .
●Payment Gateways: Authorize.net payment gateway was integrated into Pavetech website .
● ERP Integration: EPICOR Prophet 2.

The result for the client
Known for no-compromise service to the hardscape industry, Pavetech can now give its customers an enhanced online shopping experience. Also, we migrated the data on the Pavetech e-commerce website from Magento 1.6 to Magento 2.3. Finally, the client is happy with the website we developed, and we continue to partner with them on other projects.
