Kopenhagen Magento Drop-Shipping Platform Development

The client provides drop-shipping facilities through multiple vendors. It runs the service on an online platform called Kopenhagen. This fully-fledged drop-shipping platform lets vendors put their product details on a server in a file. Then the admin chooses the best bid and forwards the orders it receives. Team Zehntech created the platform as a product in partnership with the client.

The client works in the drop-shipping industry. Before Kopenhagen, its business ran on a functional platform built on Webmers. However, the platform did not serve the client as well as expected. It had certain limitations.

First, the admin had to upload the vendor’s product details to the server by hand, which took a lot of time. So the admin wanted a system that fetches the data automatically from the files on the server and shows the product details on the platform.

Also, the client wanted a more robust platform without restrictions on functionality. But the new platform had to keep the same themes, designs, and frontend as the existing one. This was a major challenge in the project.

This was one of the most interesting projects our team received, and we were excited to work on it. We analyzed the existing platform in depth to understand all its functions. After analysis, brainstorming, and discussions, we concluded that Magento would serve the client better for the functions it needs.

The client liked the idea of migration. However, it did not want to change the front end or design of the platform at all. So we used custom Magento development and created a fully customized theme on Magento. It looks and feels exactly like the client’s existing Webmers platform.

We also developed the automation that the client wanted, to reduce the manual task of uploading products. With this function, the platform fetches products directly from the product files in the backend. Then it shows them in the products list on the frontend.

With another function, visitors can order products easily from the frontend. In the backend, the admin then decides which vendor to assign the order to, based on certain criteria. After that, the platform processes the orders and sends them for shipment.

With the Kopenhagen drop-shipping platform, the client now has a highly functional platform that took the business to a new level. The product eased many tasks through automation, so the work is now easier and faster. Overall, the platform helps the client run its functions smoothly and offers a great user experience.
