About the project
Dexsheet is a project management tool that Team Zehntech created to the client’s requirements and specifications. It is just the solution that the client needed and had in mind. In short, it eases the work of a project manager, because it helps him manage the many project management activities he performs in an efficient and orderly way.
The challenge
Project management is a complex task, especially when a single project manager handles multiple projects. Typical project management involves estimating, scheduling, assigning tasks, status updates and many more activities. To make life simpler, a project manager needs a tool that helps orchestrate the whole process. The customer had a functional solution in mind and wanted us to implement it.
What we built
First, we understood the customer’s problem. Then we held brainstorming sessions and involved a domain expert. This led us to the solution that the customer named Dexsheet. It allows a project manager to create tasks, assign them to team members and check the overdue status. The task owner can also set an ETA with the ease of a standard spreadsheet, which most managers find very convenient. As a bonus, the Dexsheet tool lets users view tasks on a calendar. See our web development services for similar tools.

The result for the client
Team Zehntech analyzed the conceptual solution from the customer. Then we ran multiple brainstorming sessions to refine it. Next, we evaluated the right technology stack, methodology and process for this project management tool. In the next phase, we created wireframes so that the customer could see the solution before we built it. After a few rounds of customer suggestions, we finalized the wireframes. Finally, we developed the product with Agile Scrum methodology, with a backend in Python Flask and a front end in Angular 7.
